This 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Luxury Flying Safari is ideal for those who are short on time but want to come face-to-face with critically endangered mountain gorillas in the heart of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Flying saves travel time from long drives and allows you to enjoy scenic aerial views of Uganda’s southwestern region.
Your light aircraft flight departs from Entebbe International Airport (EBB) to Kihihi Airstrip just outside Bwindi Impenetrable National Park taking approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes. Upon landing, a road transfer to Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp in the Buhoma sector on the northern side of the park follows and takes about 1 to 2.5 hours.
The 3 Days Gorilla Trekking Luxury Flying Safari can be customized to meet your needs, such as adding extra days or activities to the itinerary. Please note that gorilla trekking permits are very limited, so early booking is highly advised.

Day 1:
Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today, the 3 Days Gorilla Trekking Flying Luxury Safari starts with a scenic light aircraft flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check in at Entebbe International Airport as early as 6 am for your departure. Upon landing, you will be transferred to Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, an exclusive eco-luxury lodge tucked away in a thick forest inside the park boundaries, putting you just steps away from the main Buhoma gorilla trekking trailhead. The lodge offers a complete rainforest experience in magical Bwindi. After check in, relax or opt for curated activities at the reception at an extra cost.

Day 2:
Mountain gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi
Today is the highlight of your 3-day luxury Uganda gorilla trekking safari and a dream come true. After a delightful breakfast, you will take a short 6-minute drive to the park headquarters for a mandatory briefing.
Afterward, you will be allocated to a gorilla family in a group of 8 people, depending on your hiking ability. Trekking time depends on the location of the gorilla family allocated to you but usually takes between 2 and 6 hours in total. Once you find them, you will spend a maximum of one hour in their presence. A face mask is a must. Enjoy every moment and take enough pictures to capture your unique encounter. Afterward, you’ll return to the park headquarters to pick your trekking certificate and then head back to your lodge and relax.
Day 3:
Back to Entebbe International Airport
This is your last day in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast before being transferred to Kihikihi Airstrip for your flight to Entebbe International Airport and your departure.

- The 3 Days Luxury Uganda Gorilla Trekking Flying Safari is limited to a maximum of six travelers per vehicle, and a 30% deposit is required on confirmation.
- Travelers with special needs may be required to pay an extra fee for trekking facilitation.
- The minimum age for gorilla trekking is 15 years.
- Porters are available for hire at a cost of about $20. The porters can be found during the briefing or at the starting point of the trek. Some of these porters are former poachers who have now been given a chance to earn a living by helping travelers trek gorillas.
