Detailed 11 Days Kenya Migration and Manda Bay Beach Safari

Day 1:

Nairobi to Masai Mara

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be met and transferred to Wilson Airport, where you’ll board a light aircraft flight to Masai Mara. It is the perfect introduction to the wilderness you’re about to explore. The flight is scenic as you glide over the Great Rift Valley, with endless plains, winding rivers, and scattered acacias unfolding beneath you.

In just under an hour, you’ll land at Ol Kiombo Airstrip, where you’ll be met and transferred to Naibor Wilderness Camp, your home for the next four nights. This exclusive safari retreat is shaded by forest along the Talek River. It offers contemporary style and comfort in the heart of the Masai Mara and allows you to explore the wilderness at its very best.

Enjoy your first game drive as you traverse the open savannah towards camp. Keep an eye out for wildebeest, giraffe, or even big cats before you’ve even unpacked your bags.

Days 2-5:

Explore Masai Mara

You have three days to explore this incredible wildlife park on scintillating game drives led by expert guides, tracking big cats, elephants, and the ever-moving herds. Between July and October, you’ll be at the heart of the action as countless wildebeest and zebra thunder across the perilous, crocodile-filled Mara River, pursued by hungry lions. It really is one of nature’s most dramatic spectacles.

Drift off each night to the sounds of the savannah, or wake up to birdsong, the low rumble of hippos in the river below you and quite often the not so far roar of a lion. The food here is absolutely superb. You can also visit a nearby Maasai village for an intimate cultural encounter or rise with the sun and float silently across the savannah in a hot air balloon flight. Watch the plains come alive with light and movement, then touch down for a champagne breakfast in the heart of the savannah (optional extra).

Day 6:

Air lift to Lamu

After a final morning in the Masai Mara, you’ll be air lifted to Lamu through Wilson Airport in Nairobi. Enjoy the scenic flight as you take a last look at the vast open plains below. Upon arrival, you’ll take a boat ride across the water to Manda Bay, where barefoot luxury and four nights of pure relaxation await.

For those feeling adventurous, there’s a wide range of activities to embark on including snorkeling, sailing, water-skiing, surfing, windsurfing, fishing, and a dhow cruise at sunset or explore the charm and history of nearby Lamu Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 11:
