After a sumptuous early breakfast, you will be met and transferred to Serengeti National Park on a scenic drive. The term Serengeti comes from the Maasai word “seringit” which means endless plains: observing the grassland stretch out and eventually merge with the sky at the horizon is an extremely spectacular experience. Given its overall land area of 14,763 sq km, our notion about the 240 km drive distance seems surprisingly short.

Serengeti is home to astonishing wildlife, including the glorious Big Five and the big cats. The entire ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game anywhere in Africa. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch and embark on a thrilling evening game drive or just relax in the tranquil setting of your lodge in the African wilderness.

The Serengeti is famous for its incredible predator population, including lions, leopards and cheetahs. Its central portion, known as the Seronera area, is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. The area features the valuable Seronera River, which provides water and attracts a vast array of wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.

The impressive Serengeti “kopjes—massive boulders of granite—are easily sighted standing in a sea of grass. These rocky formations provide ample shelter for a large variety of flora and fauna, most notably the big cats (lion, leopard and cheetah). Lion prides usually hang out here and thrive well in the Seronera region. You will enjoy a picnic lunch during the day-long game drive and later end the day with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your lodge

After a quick breakfast, you’ll embark on a morning game drive or take a hot air balloon flight above the plains, revealing another perspective of the savannah. You can also visit a Maasai village for a cultural experience before driving back to Arusha. You will be dropped off at your hotel or airport for your departure flight.
